Founder of PSTI
Founder C.J. Easter is the visionary behind PSTI. He believes in changing lives through disciplined and demanding training and lifestyle coaching. Academically, C.J. earned B.S. degree in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University. He also holds a national personal training certification from the American Council on Exercise. Athletically, he played 4 years of corner and safety for the Stanford Cardinal. C.J.’s professional football career includes representing the United States in international competition in Japan. Since retiring from competition, he has served as a youth football coach, motivational speaker, and consultant for several high school football programs.
President of PSTI Sacramento
President Jose Avina Was one of the founders of the Original PSTI still operating stronger than ever in Menlo Park, CA. Jose is dedicated to helping as many people reach their fitness goals through dedication, discipline, hard work, and a lot of fun! Jose was an option quarterback at Division 1-AA Nicholls State University in Louisiana. He finished up his playing career at Menlo College where he received his B.S. degree in Business Administration. He has a diverse training background and has worked with some of the best trainers in the country.
Vice President of Business Development
Vice President Darren Moore is responsible for driving new business and spreading the PSTI message of customized fitness solutions. He is committed to improving your life and health through dedicated personal attention and positive uplift. Darren graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Philosophy. He uses his philosophical background to gain a perspective of a balanced lifestyle physically, intellectually, and spiritually. Athletically, he was a 4-year captain for Stanford Men's Club Volleyball team, leading the team to a second place finish at the NIRSA National Championships. He is also a single digit handicap golfer.
Director of Training Operations, Los Angeles
Director David Lofton is responsible for PSTI's expansion into the Los Angeles Area. He brings a wealth of experience in training and nutrition. David was also a member of the Stanford football team, where he played quarterback, wide receiver, and safety and was a three time recipient of the "Best Overall Athlete" award. As a senior, he was team captain and was selected to play in the "Hula Bowl" all star game. Following his collegiate days, David went on to play professionally with the Miami Dolphins, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Toronto Argonauts of the CFL, and the New York Sentinels of the UFL. David attributes his passion for athletics to his father James Lofton, a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. David has worked numerous youth clinics and camps across the country, sharing his passion for hard work and striving for excellence
The D1 Performance Science training staff is comprised of current and former division one athletes. We have a team who has “walked the walk and talked the talk” of division one athletics.
